Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of our family and friends!!!!!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Thanksgiving around here! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We were able to get together with family and relax and enjoy catching up with everyone! The weather even cooperated and it was sunny and in the 60’s! Wow!

I made the girls outfits for our travels. Here is Brooklyn (with some facepaint) next to hers…

And here is Devon’s top….she is going to wear it with leggins….

This top is the newest pattern by Sis Boom and Scientific Seamstress!!! It is named after my friend’s daughter…Leighanna! Love it! There is going to be an adult version coming up and guess what????? It’s going to be called the Devon!!! We’re all tickled pink…squeal!!!

So this November has just flown by! Between our trips the girls had some friends over! They played games and dolls and school and dress up and tea party!

Such fun! Later in the weekend the girls entertained themselves with face painting and play dough!!!

In order to get ready for our Thanksgiving trip to our cousin’s house, we all worked on a few projects! The first one was a Thanksgiving project inspired by Martha Stewart! It was Thanksgiving Turkey cupcakes! The girls iced the cupcakes and decorated with marshmallows, candy corns and mini chips!

And here are the finished turkeys!

We put them in the fridge overnight and brought them along to our Thanksgiving dinner. I also finished up some appliqued tops for the cousins! We packaged these up with some lollipops!

And we also packed up a tray of cookies!

Finally it was time to pack up our suitcases and load up the car and head out! We waited until Thursday when the traffic was low! Off to PA we go!!!

When we arrived, we loved seeing all the kids, especially the new baby, Gemma! The girls got to hold her!

I managed to get one pic of all the kids before everyone went in different directions to play!

While dinner cooked we visited and ate hors d’oeurves! The tables were set and everything was ready!

Kid’s table….

Our wonderful host and hostess!!!!

Kid’s playroom! Fun!

We all took turns holding the baby! She fell asleep too…..she was so delicious! What a good baby!!

Awwwwww…..

When dinner was ready, the kids enjoyed applesauce and jello and the adults had yummy pumpkin soup as our appetizer. Checkout this cute display near the kids table!

And then we filled up on all of the yummy Thanksgiving food! It was alllllllll so delicious!!! A huge thank you to the wonderful cook!!! I tried not to have seconds but I think I snuck in some more anyways! Later we all had dessert…pies and cookies and cupcakes!

It was a really wonderful evening! Thank you again Glenna and Mark!!! We then headed out with cousin Rich to his house. We stayed two nights! The following day was Black Friday. I am not much of a shopper but I did manage to make it out that day to Jo Ann fabric and Walmart around noon. Neither store was real busy. I finished my shopping on Saturday at Target. The rest of my shopping was done either online or I am crafting it!

We did get a chance to visit with other family members on Friday! Edmund even went metal detecting on the farm…I think he only found a penny….lol!

It was pretty bright in the sun so we shifted over a bit!

After chatting a bit, we headed out to do some more visiting with other family members! Then we ended up heading home for a little to rest before dinner. After dinner we all enjoyed some downtime back at cousin Rich’s house. I love that we all had our ipads, itouches and ipod’s out! LOL!

Don’t worry, I had mine out too! I love being able to keep in contact when away from home!

So that was our wonderful Thanksgiving trip! It was great seeing family and catching up with everyone! I hope you had a nice one too!

Up next is the busy but fun month leading up to Christmas! I will be back with lots of updates I hope….don’t want to fall too far behind!!!!!

God Bless,

Cathy
